Tonight Ashley and I hosted our first charity event at the Country Lanes Bowling Alley in New Lenox. It turned out great! I was so nervious! I made brownies to sell. They were really good! hehe. And I think everyone had fun. Ashley really got to spend time with her fans. It was great! Hopefully we made alot of money. I will post the amount when I get it. And I will post pictures too when I get those because Ashley has to send me some that she took. And in Dec. we are going to be doing a food/clothing drive. She is going to have her fans drop off stuff at her Jingle Jam show. And we will be making letters and sending them out to businesses in the area. Email me if you have any ideas of businesses that will donate. Well, I'm exhausted. So I'm gonna head off to bed. I will be putting pictures up soon. And I will blog again when I have any more news! Heyyyy Guys! Sorry I haven't updated in like forever! I've been super busy!! I'm starting a charity...It's called An Angel's Gift Foundation!! And I will be working with Ashley Garland on all of it! I'm pretty excited!! I made a myspace for it..its for anyone in IL or that would drive to IL for the events! Myspace.com/Anangelsgiftfoundation Add it...tell ppl to add it too!! Ashley has a concert this Saturday!! And she will be talking about our charity!! I can't wait! I hope you all can come! and hopefully donate!! Its at the Meijer store in Plainfield!! and its from 11am - 1pm. Please please come!! Ashley would really like it if you all supported her and her charity! We will be donating the money for people in need. Like people in homeless shelters, Soup kitchens, people with mental problems, etc. Ashley's latest entry..she even talks about the charity: Tuesday, June 13th, 2006 An Angel's Gift Foundation- We need your help! Hey angels! In a past post, I mentioned that I wanted to start a charity group where my fans and I could all get together and do some good! I recieved so many e-mails of fans who said they would be interested in doing chairty work that I decided to make this happen for us! I am working on a foundation that I am going to call An Angel's Gift. This foundation will do anything from raising charity money by doing car washes to actually going out and helping people in need through service work. All of my fans have such big hearts and I am so excited to work with you to spread some love and hope! At the Meijers show coming up on June 17th, I will have a sign up sheet for anyone who wants to join our Angel Network to be apart of An Angel's Gift Foundation. Anyone who joins will recieve newletters about up-coming charity events that you can participate in, inspirational quotes, and any other updates about the foundation! Randi Melendez has offered to help me organize tihs Foundation. She has created a myspace at www.myspace.com/anangelsgiftfoundation. This is a good place for all of us to chat and share ideas! Hey guys, I'm sorry that I haven't replied in a loooong time. I've been busyy! Well, there hasn't been anything really new with Ashley either. She's leaving for Paris today! : ) I wish I could go. Ashley's new entry: Each day you have an opportunity to do good. In every second you have a choice. Choose to be the change you wish to see in the world!!!!! It's so awesome to think about all the exciting adventures that await us! We never know what lies ahead! There have been so many times that I cried because of a heartbreak or a disapointment, but with time you see why things had to happen the way they did. One of my favorite songs is by Garth Brooks, Unanswered Prayers. We always think we know what is best for us. In highschool we cry because the love of our life chooses to be with someone else, we cry because we didn't make the volley ball team, or we cry because we didn't get into the college we applied for. Whatever prayer went unanswered, in the end we are shown that it happened the way it was supposed to be. Maybe you ended up at a college you never wanted to be at, but ended up meeting your husband there...... Maybe you didn't make the volley ball team so you joined choir and discovered your lifelong passion for singing..... Maybe your boyfriend left you for someone else, but it turns out he grew up to be a dead beat and you met the love of your life..... Whatever the case, we need to trust that God knows best! Surrender your life to God. Release your burdens and heartache. Know that you are perfect right now and you are exactly where God wants you to be.
